Done Online Shopping During Quarantine
Everyone loves to do a little online shopping whether it's through big companies like Amazon, or small Etsy Shops, but when is enough, enough?
Do you ever have multiple boxes show up at your house, unsure if it was the thing you ordered last week, or the week before? I often find myself getting packages without remembering what I previously ordered. I like to think of it as sending a surprise present in the mail for myself to get later. Whether it’s a gift for yourself or a gift for a friend or family member, online ordering is by far the easiest way to shop.
Although Amazon is one of the most well known online shopping apps, there are stores like Walmart and Target that also allow you to place an order without leaving the comfort of your house. You can not only order products like clothing or leisure activities, but you can order your entire grocery list as well. Right now, a popular choice for buying products at stores is curbside pickup. Although curbside isn’t as glorious as waiting for a package at your doorstep, it‘s still less work for you.
I always enjoy receiving a package in the mail, but should I question if I am ordering too much? Since quarantine has started, online ordering has been the biggest it has been in a while. There are shortages on many items, and delays on arrivals because of the massive flow of orders coming in. Millions of people have been stuck at home for months without much to do. I mean, you can only deep clean your house so many times.
I will admit I have definitely gave in to ordering several products, simply because I was bored and thought I would want them at the time. I didn’t realize how big of a problem this was becoming for me, until I had at least five packages waiting on my front porch. Maybe next time I’m at laying in bed at home I shouldn’t open the Amazon app.
