Why "A Love Letter Life" Is A Must-Read
Especially for those who have lost hope in the dating world
For those who have completely lost hope in the dating world, don't worry, this book will restore all of that lost hope. A Love Letter Life, written by couple Audrey and Jeremy Roloff, is a pure and wholesome story of how two people came to know each other and fall in love. It sounds cliche and like every Nicholas Sparks books ever, but the difference is that this story is written purely from their real-life experiences and exemplifies how when two people know and love God first, it sets the relationship up to be much more successful.
The tagline for the book is, "Pursue creatively, date intentionally, love faithfully." What a great line to live by, especially when it comes to pursuing a relationship! This book highlights the beauty of a Christ-centered relationship and how when we pursue God faithfully, He fills our lives with such joy and peace. Seeing God work through their relationship, the good and the struggles, it reminds me how much we need God in our lives, especially when it comes to dating.
Jeremy pursued Audrey for two years before they even started dating and did long-distance for about a year and a half. How many guys do you know that would intentionally pursue a woman for that long? It is absolutely crazy to think about, but in the midst of all of that waiting, Jeremy recalled that she is the one he knew was worth waiting for. Audrey, though it took her a lot of time discerning if their friendship was meant to become a relationship, saw all the ways of how a man should pursue a woman: patiently, faithfully, wholeheartedly, and intentionally.
Ladies, if you're settling for anything less, take some time to think about what you deserve and the standard you uphold for yourself. And if you're a victim to this almost non-existent dating world and have no idea what standards you should have, I advise you to read this book. Heck, even if you know exactly what you want in a man, read this book! It brings real-life into this Hollywood expectation we have for dating. You won't regret it!
