20 Thoughts Marvel Addicts Had When Trying To Get ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Tickets
Trying to purchase tickets gave me the same emotional roller coaster the film is probably going to give all of us.
Everyone knows seeing a Marvel movie opening night is a huge deal. With Marvel leaving us with a cliffhanger the last time we saw all our favorite characters combined into one movie, there was a rush to get tickets for the new upcoming film, Endgame. I'm sure I can say this for everyone, trying to get tickets was a bit of a nightmare. But, I'm sure I can also say, fans did "whatever it takes" to get a seat to see what happens after the snap.
1. Gotta get up before 8:00 am
GiphyI don't know about anyone else, but I set 8 alarms...just to be safe.
2. Low-key freaking out when the clock hit 7:59 a.m.
GiphyOne minute, one minute, one minute! *watches the second hand on the Clock App on my iPhone*
4. Does that say it's an hour wait just to purchase a ticket?
GiphyHas this ever happened before? Is this normal? Is this a joke?
5. What the f*ck Fandango!?
GiphyHow many people actually want tickets that I need to wait an hour just to purchase them?
6. Let me try the actual AMC website
GiphyEveryone uses Fandango, no one would actually go to the theater website to buy their tickets. Right?
9. How far am I willing to travel to see this movie?
GiphyI mean, I'll go to another city, town, or even state.
11. Will I not be able to see it opening night?
GiphyI've been waiting for this movie for a whole year, I woke up early to purchase tickets, and I can't have anything spoiled.
12. Ok I think I have to start crying now.
GiphyLike when Tom Holland died in "Infinity War" crying.
13. If every movie theater showed this movie in every single one of their theaters, it could solve the ticket issue.
GiphyThis would probably be the easiest way to go about this. *sigh* If only.
14. Why were sites not more prepared for this?
GiphyIt's as if the fans were Hulk, and Thor was every single website selling movie tickets.
15. Ok if I can't see it opening day I have to delete all social media accounts, I cannot have any spoilers.
GiphyI can't risk anything. Goodbye world until I see this movie.
16. Why does the world hate me
GiphyI'm a good person who just wants to see a 3 hour and 2 minute movie that I've been waiting a year to see.
17. Someone is probably having a relaxing day right now knowing they got opening night tickets while I'm over here having a meltdown.
GiphyI bet they're all laughing at everyone panicking right now.
19. Wow Marvel loves to mess with my feelings.
GiphyThey really got me when they showed Tony holding a photo of him and Peter.
20. "Whatever it takes."
GiphyWhen you've been searching for 5 hours and finally find a place with opening night tickets.
30 Instagram Comments That Don't Revolve Around Your Friend's Body
Because "You look great! Have you lost weight?" isn't a real compliment.
Unfortunately, we live in a society where thinness and weight loss are equated with health and happiness. However, this assumption is false. Weight loss or gain tells us nothing about a person's health, happiness or the way they live their life. For example, the same person who is praised for their weight loss may be struggling with an eating disorder, terminal illness, poverty, depression or a plethora of other issues.
Assigning morality to weight - seeing thinness as "good" and fatness as "bad" - is a dangerous mentality. To many, comments about weight and appearance can be highly triggering and they shift the focus away from the things in life which are actually important. Luckily, I've provided you with an extensive list of things to comment on your friend's Instagram post (or Facebook, Twitter, etc.) that have nothing to do with their body or weight.
1. "You are glowing!"
Giphy2. "You look so happy :)"
Giphy3. "This is a great picture!"
Giphy4. "YOUR DOG IS ADORABLE"
Giphy5. "I'm so happy you're happy! I can't wait to meet your partner."
Giphy6. "This looks like fun! I hope you had a great time!"
Giphy7. "I miss you, let's reconnect soon!"
Giphy8. "I am so proud of you"
Giphy9. "You're inspirational!"
Giphy10. "I am so happy you exist"
Giphy11. "You have such a great sense of style!"
Giphy12. "I'm loving the confidence!"
Giphy13. "You have a beautiful soul"

Giphy15. "You are an incredible person"
Giphy16. "I am so glad I met you"
Giphy17. "I was just at this spot recently and I love it!"
Giphy18. "I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!"
Giphy19. "You rock"
Giphy20. "I love that shirt where did you get it?"
Giphy21. "Have a great trip!"
Giphy22. "This post made my day!"
Giphy23. "You are royalty!"
Giphy24. "Beyoncé would be proud"
Giphy25. "You two are my favs"

Giphy27. "Your makeup looks amazing"
Giphy28. "This is so cute!"
Giphy29. "Your eyes look so lively"
Giphy30. "Come through with the self love!"
GiphyAfter scrolling through this list, I hope you'll find at least one comment that you can use to support, affirm and empower your friend without the potential harm that comes with commenting on their body. Because at the end of the day, worth and value do not come from physical appearance, but from so many other factors like compassion, kindness, humor, and drive. Weight is just about the least interesting thing about a person--you can be more creative than focusing on that. And if you truly cannot think of something to say that doesn't focus on the shrinking or expansion of your loved one's body, a simple double-tap will suffice.
