To My Freshman Roomie, I Love You More Than Words Can Describe
Simply put, you're the best.
Dear Roomie,
I was nervous before I met you. I had never shared a room with someone long term and I was anxious that we would end up hating each other. I had no idea what to expect. I didn't know if you would be one of those people who is very neat and I was too sloppy for you, or what if I was the neat one? Well since day 1, my fears have been relieved — because simply put, you're the best.
Thank you for being the best first roommate I could have had and for doing Freshman year with me. Thank you for taking out the trash when I forget to, and for never shaming me for my messy desk. Thank you for the late night talks when we dish about boy and friend drama, for doing random and impromptu roomie dates with me, for our shared love of Panera, and for taking videos of me when I'm lying in bed a little too tipsy.
I can't believe this year is almost over and with it our year of living together. I will miss either of us sneaking in late and trying not to wake the other person up, your constant microwaving of Ramen Noodles, our vent sessions about stupid people, and honestly — I will miss you.
Freshman roomie, you were there with me through the biggest year of change in my life. I'm so glad it was you that I lived with. I love you, roomie.
