Dear Mom, I Hope You Know How Thankful I Am To Have You
We honestly do not deserve our moms.
Hey Mom,
I just wanna take a moment and say thanks for everything you have done.
I don't know how you manage to handle the world as gracefully as you do at times. Of course, there are days when you feel like the world is crushing you from above and you can't bear the weight and get overwhelmed, but everyone experiences those days. It is life and you're doing and handling it just fine — better than how most people would be able too.
I think you overload yourself a lot more than you need to, overstressing yourself to the point where it feels like the world is falling apart around you. Which is where I get that from. A huge part of my worrying is from the fear of failure, thinking I can do more than I can, but you are with me every step of the way.
Thanks for allowing me to make mistakes, which in moments I dislike you for, but it allows me to grow and learn from my mistakes that I make. It allows me to become the person I am meant to be. Also, thanks for pushing me to reach my goals and motivating me to do my best so I can achieve great things.
You have watched me grow, have watched me achieve my goals, make mistakes and learn from them. You have watched me grow into the person I am, no matter how much I have struggled with that in my younger years. You let me be the person who I was and watched that branch into who I am today by not forcing me to do things that I was not interested in. You let me, be me.
You have had struggles of your own that I have seen you push through and somehow move forward from. You have gone through loss that I could not imagine going through. And, somehow take on a lot more than you need to, but somehow you manage to accomplish everything you put and set your mind on.
Most of all, you are not only my mom but my best friend. You are someone I know I can count on when the going gets tough, you are someone I can run to, laugh with, depend on, further my coffee addiction, and talk to about anything. You always goof around with me and know exactly what to say and what I need to hear. I know you will always have my back through thick and thin. Also, it does not hurt that your smile is contagious. You are the person who I could not live without in my life. You are truly an inspiration to me, and I am beyond grateful to call you my mom. Thank you for being you.
With much love,
Taylor
