Sorry, But The OG Dance Moms Can Never Be Replaced
Abby can try, but Christi, Kelly, Holly, Melissa and Jill are irreplaceable.
It's no secret that Abby Lee Miller has put together a new competition team on the show "Dance Moms" for a chance at "redemption" after facing prison and cancer.
The season eight cast made up of all new dancers-and their outrageous, dramatic mothers, who have all flocked to Pittsburgh for Abby to "make their children stars."
I grew up watching these Moms and their daughters but gave up watching "Dance Moms" after Kelly and Christi left. I briefly tuned back in when "The Irreplaceables" was formed.
I heard that "Dance Moms" was coming back, so decided that I'd give the new team a try to see what they were like.
However, after watching the season premiere, I can tell you that I probably won't be watching.
These new moms are absolutely ridiculous. They are constantly picking fights in the most inopportune of times and places.
Sure the OGs had their fair share of arguments and brawls, but most of the time they were contained and most of the moms avoided the conflict with their daughters in the room.
These moms are constantly saying that "my kid is better than your kid" and "you're lying about your kid's dance record" and putting each other's children down.
The OGs focused more on the team aspect. They were there for each other when one of the girls needed to borrow a costume and watched the other girls' solos routines. This team is only in Pittsburgh because of their own selfish reasons. There is no comradery between the mothers or between the kids.
So sorry, but not sorry, the OG Dance Mom can never be replaced.
