15 Swift Songs To Revive

Taylor Swift may be controversial, but she does have some pretty good songs under her belt.

Recently, I have been going through my old CD's and I found my Fearless CD. As I was listening, I realized how great old Taylor Swift songs were. While she has been controversial recently, she still made some pretty good bops in her early years. Here are a few of my favorites that I have been playing on repeat.

1. "Better Than Revenge" (2010)

This song is a great one to listen to when you have a bad breakup and want to get out your anger. It's fun to sing and the lyrics are super sassy.

2."The Best Day" (2008)

This is a great song to listen to near mother's day or father's day because it reminds me of all the things about them that I am thankful for. Plus the vintage videos of Taylor in the music video are super cute.

3."Breathe" (2008)

This is a calm song about a relationship that just didn't work out. It's a nice song to listen to after a healthy breakup or you are just feeling a little melancholy.

4."Clean" (2014)

This song is a really nice song with some super cool similes. It allows listeners to picture every feeling and it has a really cool feeling to it.

5."Dear John" (2010)

This is the perfect song to belt in your house when you're home alone. I feel like we don't have enough belt-able songs these days.

6."Enchanted" (2010)

This one gives off the perfect vibe of the first time butterflies you get when you meet and talk to someone you're interested in.

7."I'd Lie" (2008)

Taylor does a great job of conveying the feelings you have when you like someone a lot but just can't seem to tell them.

8."Picture To Burn" (2006)

This is the closest to country music I will ever get. It's another song to belt in the car or in your room and the music video screams 2006.

9."Ours" (2010)

This music video will tug at the heart strings for those of us who cry at all of the soldiers coming home and surprising families videos.

10."Mine" (2010)

This song gives hope to people who came up with not the greatest backgrounds or felt that their situations meant they wouldn't be able to have a real connection with someone.

11."Mean" (2010)

This is the classic middle finger to all the people who doubt you in your lifetime. This song really hypes me up and it helps you feel better about the passions you're pursuing.

12."Fifteen" (2008)

Anyone going into high school should hear this song if they haven't already because it gives a little warning as to what you could experience, and lets you know to be careful.

13."Fearless" (2008)

This one manages to portray the feelings of your first love and the way that you fearlessly (hence the title) go head first into it.

14."Holy Ground" (2012)

This one hits right in the core of many girls dreams to have a cute boyfriend and live in a big city when they are older. However, the song is catchy and has a cool sound, so I would still recommend it!

15."I Knew You Were Trouble" (2012)

While this was immensely overplayed, it's a classic. Plus, you know you know all the words, so you might as well sing along.

Taylor has done a pretty good job within her music career. I personally believed she should have stuck with the country/innocent vibe she had going, but everyone grows and changes so I'm happy she can reflect that in her newer music.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
