I feel "Batman Vs. Superman" is going to be one of the greatest comic book movies ever made! (Hopefully, if everything goes as planned).
This will be the first time an audience will witness Batman bout against Superman in a live action blockbuster! This new "Man of Steel" sequel will supposedly take place after the events of the first movie, however, DC wants to create the foundation for a Justice League film, so it must speed up the process and introduce Batman (I, for one, won't complain).
For those of you who haven't seen "Man of Steel," I will do a quick recap. Baby Clark Kent, AKA, "Kal-El," was sent to Earth by his parents and discovers his true persona as Superman. He must embark on a journey to defeat General Zod, a military leader from planet Krypton, to stop Zod from destroying the human race. (P.S Lois Lane and Superman love each other).
As evident from the title of "Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice," we can easily see that Batman and Superman are going to kick each other's asses. But the question is why? Well, thanks to the teaser we now know that Ben Affleck (no, not Aflac Insurance...Batman) will start a fight with Henry Cavill (No not Advil...Superman) because he's concerned for what a God-like alien can do to the human race. We've got to remember that Bruce Wayne was in ground zero when the destruction occurred in the first film and he saw many people die. As a result, it is understandable that he is worried.
The following may contain some SPOILERS so watch out! The film will feature Jesse Eisenberg (no, not Heisenberg from "Breaking Bad." Sorry guys, I wanted him too) who will portray Lex Luthor. There's a theory going around that he will use General Zod's body to create a mutant creature called Doomsday to fight Superman. Now if this is the case, then that's why we see Wonder Woman fighting in the teaser trailer.
Another interesting point is that Batman is not the youngster he once was. In the teaser, we see glimpses of the Robin costume and a newspaper with the writing "You let your family die." It's quite possibly that this onscreen Batman has been mentally damaged by the death of Robin, which is an interesting take on Batman in my opinion. We know for a fact that Jared Leto will portray The Joker in the Suicide Squad, which leads fans to believe that we may see a flashback in "The Suicide Squad." All in all, this movie is a giant step for every superhero fan. The stakes are high. I can definitely smell the buttery popcorn in the far distance whispering my name.
