A playlist of mine that keeps me sane

Playlist: Sundaze
Celie Fredrickson

I'm a big fan of music, all kinds of music (besides country....the one genre of music that I refuse to listen to... besides the old Taylor Swift). One of my favorite kinds of music to listen to would definitely be those songs you hear at the coffee shop that you could most likely find under the acoustic rock or just plain acoustic section on the radio. They are so soothing, calming, and beautiful. You can distinctively hear the story and emotion put into the song(s), which really helps with connecting yourself to what you are listening to. If you enjoy this list of songs, feel free to check out my Spotify playlist(s) (https://open.spotify.com/user/1240306691/playlist/...) where I have even more songs in my 'Sundaze' playlist, and a bunch of other playlists with other types/styles of music as well. All of these artists have such unique styles, tones, and emotion. Listening to their talent really opens up so many doors (music and artist-wise). Here is a list of songs for early mornings, coffee dates, study sessions, Sunday morning drives, bubble baths, and more.

1. Riptide: Vance Joy

Riptide is a very popular song that has and still continues to rotate on the radio fairly often, but actually listening to the words has helped me appreciate this song even more.

2. Mess is Mine: Vance Joy

3. Georgia: Vance Joy

4. Lightening in a Jar: Molly Tuttle

5. Sunny Road: Emilíana Torrini

6. Bees: The Ballroom Thieves

7. Burning Ground: Brandon Jenner

8. Real Peach: Henry Jamison

9. Dreamer: Isbells

10. Concrete Jungle: Au/Ra

11. Early Morning Coffee Cups: Jaimi Faulkner

12. Sweet Creature: Harry Styles

13. Ever Since New York: Harry Styles

14. From the Dining Table: Harry Styles

So I was never a Harry Styles fan when he was in One Direction, but when the band called it quits and everyone started working on their own personal music, I realized that Harry Styles' music is amazing. His voice, tone, and style are so pure and raw. I highly recommend everyone to check out his new music.

15. Barcelona: George Ezra

16. Budapest: George Ezra

17. Dear Wormwood: The Oh Hellos

18. Lost in My Mind: The Head and the Heart

19. Skinny Love: Bon Iver

20. Budapest: Bon Iver

21. The Cave: Mumford & Sons

22. Stubborn Love: The Lumineers

23. Big Jet Plane: Angus & Julia Stone

24. Love Love Love: Of Monsters and Men

Thanks for reading, I truly find myself listening to this playlist every single day, especially while driving! It's the perfect mix of soothing and upbeat to get you through your day. I hope these songs help you find peace and serenity, as they have for me.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
