During the fall, it seems like I can't catch a break. Classes are in full swing and everyone is just coming off of summer mode. But, to be honest, the craziest part about fall semester isn't the classwork. The football games take up most of my weekends and it is a lot to handle. Game days are some of the best days of everyone's college experience. As fun as they may be, they are also just as exhausting. Waking up early, tailgating, sitting through a game in the Florida heat and then doing it all again the next weekend can be a bit much. I even like to travel to an away game every once in a while. Sometimes it can be tough to balance my social life and school work during this time.

The spring semester seems to end in an instant. Right after classes start, everyone starts planning what they are going to do for spring break. After spring break, midterms and finals consume every student's life. This past spring, I barely got to even go out because I was constantly busy studying for my next test. Dance Marathon at UF also takes place at the end of March and it is the single organization that I dedicate most of my time to. It takes up a good amount of my time and requires a lot of work, but I love every second of it.

Summer A, B, and C are not like that at all. At the University of Florida, at least, there are hardly any students on campus. This obviously has many benefits. The pool at my apartment isn't as crowded, it isn't impossible to find an outlet at the library and the Dunkin Donuts on campus has a shorter line. I let myself sleep in a little bit and then I usually end up going to the gym before I actually start any homework. But don't worry, I always end up getting my work done on time.

During the summer, things are much more relaxed and I'm a big fan of that. It makes the schoolwork seem less stressful and the days seem more enjoyable.

Summer tip: take online classes for even more freedom!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
