Top 5 New Jersey Things You Must Do This Summer

Everybody always makes a summer bucket list but rarely ever completes it but these five actives are easy to do, cheap, and always fun for a group of friends looking to make memories during summer vacation!

5. Beach/lake trip

Whether you live close or far from the Jersey Shore, there are plenty of beaches or lakes in a manageable distance. Pack a cooler with sandwiches, Gatorade, chips, and head to the beach. Besides the split gas money among friends, the trip is free. It's the perfect activity for a sunny day.

4. Cuddle up and have a movie marathon

Despite it being summer time, there are always rainy days that come and go, so make the most of it and get together with your friends and watch five movies in a row. Order Dominos pizza, cinnamon sticks, sodas, etc. and grab your blankets to warm up from the blasting air conditioning and get cozy.

3. Spend a night in the city

I know I said that these activities would be cheap but this one doesn't exactly fall into that category. Take a train into Manhattan with your girlfriends for a nice expensive dinner. Get all dressed up (make-up, hair, heels, skirts, the whole nine yards) and enjoy that polluted air.

2. Go to a PNC Bank Arts Center concert

Go online and find the venue for the PNC Bank Arts Center and pick a day with your friends to see the artist of your choice live! It's only 30-40 dollars for lawn seats!

1. Go cliff jumping

While this is an activity I have yet to do, it is still on my summer bucket list. Get a group of friends together and drive up to Terrace Pond in West Milford, New Jersey. The cliff is about a mile walking distance from parking but it'll be worth the hike. The site is always crowded with young people doing tricks and flips off the cliffs into the deep water. It's totally safe and totally fun. Pack some lunches and snacks and you'll be set for a memorable day.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
