1. Of Course, Box Braids!
a. Box braids are like the go to hairstyle for many naturals in the summer
b. Easy to get, and there's a PLETHORA of different ways you can wear box braids
2. Marley Twists
a. Probably the easiest protective single-strand style to get over the summer (quick!)
b. Very easy to take out
c. Size is up to your discretion
3. The High Puff
a. My personal summer go-to
b. It's quick and easy and requires almost 0 effort compared to the other hair styles on this list
c. Keeps your hair out of your face and off your neck for those super hot days
4. Crochet Braids
a. Last for a long time without messing up!
b. Don't have to worry about braiding your hair at night and unbraiding it in the morning for this look!
c. Just have to detangle every 2-3 weeks
5. Twist/Braid Out
a. Braid/Twist at night, then take out in the morning.
b. Depending on how defined you want them, you can either keep separating strands or not.
6. Fauc Locs
a. This is probably the hardest and longest look on this list, but it's definitely worth it.
b. Faux locs are also a great way to figure out if you actually want to get locs.
7. Two Cornrows
a. Actually can take about 5 minutes
b. You can do it with your own hair, or add extensions for a fuller, longer cornrow
8. Wash n Go
a. Depending on how you like your wash n go it could take virtually no time at all after you get out the shower
b. Let it dry a little before going out though because humidity could ruin it
9. Double Buns
a. This is a look I actually just tried and I loved
b. Super cute and easy
10. Bantu Knots
a. I love love love the way bantu knots look
b. After you get tired of them, you can take them out for a very curly look (w/ no heat)
11. Head Wraps!
a. There's a million different ways to wear head wraps
b. Easily covers if you're having a bad hair day
