The time has come; July is almost over, which means school is about to start in a few short weeks. Right around this time you may find yourself panicking because all you have done this summer is binge-watch Netflix. No worries, I’ve got you covered. I have taken the liberty of compiling a list of things to do before summer is over.
- Go to a concert. No summer is complete without attending at least one concert, so if you haven’t already, do it now. Plus, you can take plenty of Instagram-worthy pictures.
- Find a new restaurant. While I wouldn’t consider myself a foodie, my sister totally is. She has a knack for finding the best hidden gems when it comes to restaurants. Do some research and make a night out of it!
- Spend quality family time. If you’re like me, you won’t realize how much you’ll miss your family until they’re driving away on move-in day.
- Road trip. As summer is winding down, so are summer jobs. Now is the perfect time to take a day or weekend trip with your friends.
- Have a bonfire. Bonfires are perhaps one of the most underrated summer activities. You can make s’mores with different candy like Reese’s, or roast hotdogs!
- Go to the beach. This may be one of my favorite summer activities. However, if you are like my boyfriend and hate sand, or you do not have a beach near you, a pool will suffice.
- Plan a shopping trip. About 30 minutes from my house is a huge outdoor mall with all the high-end shops. My mom, sister and I love to make a day out of shopping and browsing the latest collection at Henri Bendel.
- Groupon. It is a free app that gives you coupons for all different things in your area. Need a date idea or want to plan a day with friends? I guarantee you will find something fun (and cheap) to do if you use this app.
- Spend time with friends from home. I feel like we think summer is super long until it’s over and you’re left feeling like it was three days long. Being on different schedules with friends at home is rough during the school year, so make the most of your time living in the same state.
And if all else fails...
