As we finally finish finals and wrap up the semester, warm weather is ready to greet us. With the summer season comes sunshine, beach trips and more. Transitioning your makeup from the colder winter months to a more bronzed, sun-kissed look that is comfortable in the heat can be tricky. To help, here are some must-haves from Sephora that are perfect for summer!

Prep and Prime

Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer

This primer features coconut water and refreshes your skin while providing a smoothing base for any makeup.

MILK MAKEUP Blur Stick

This smoothing stick comes in a universally flattering shade that evens skin. Its packaging makes it easy to take on the go and apply as a primer or as an invisible foundation for days when you don't want to wear a full face of makeup.

Face

AMOREPACIFIC Color Control Cushion Compact Broad Spectrum SPF 50+

Packaged in a convenient cushion compact, this foundation offers build-able coverage with a high SPF protection for sunny days.

DIOR Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 35

Though it is a bit heavier than the compact above, Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation is a fantastic summer option. It provides full coverage while still allowing your skin to breath and look natural on days when you need a bit more foundation.

Marc Jacobs Beauty O!Mega Bronzer Perfect Tan

With a high price point, this bronzer may seem like a stretch. However, the large compact gives a huge amount of product and the pigmented powder creates the perfect sun-kissed glow, making it well worth the splurge.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop

Beauty Guru Jaclyn Hill's collaboration with BECCA Cosmetics resulted in a beautiful highlighter that is an essential for any makeup junkie.

TARTE Brighter Days Highlighting Moisturizer

For days when you want a natural glow without having to layer on different products, this moisturizer nourishes skin and provides a dewey finish.

Eyes

TOO FACED Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara

TOO FACED's cult classic mascara is now available in a waterproof formula, perfect for days at the beach.

Urban Decay Perversion Waterproof Fine-Point Eye-Pen

This eyeliner provides precision application and a waterproof formula that won't smudge - even on your sweatiest days.

Body

Tarte Better Bod Bronze & Contour + Mitt

For a perfectly tan body, try Tarte's new bronzing lotion. It even comes with a mitt for hassle-free application.

Finishing

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder

These finishing powders from Hourglass are universally flattering. For a perfect sun-kissed look all over your face, dust this all over!

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

Keeping makeup in place on hot summer days can be tough. This longtime favorite from Urban Decay locks your look in place for a perfect face of makeup that lasts all day and night.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
