You Have The Same Amount Of Time In Your Day As The Most Sucessful Person On This Planet

What studying the daily routines of successful people can teach us, and how to create your own daily routine that will maximize productivity and benefit your health.

You Have The Same Amount Of Time In Your Day As The Most Sucessful Person On This Planet

Elon Musk wakes up at seven A.M. every morning and gets right to work with no time to spare, Victoria Beckham gets up at six every morning and exercises twice a day, Ernest Hemingway woke up at 5:30 every morning no matter what he had been doing the night before, and Ben Franklin used to wake up at five and followed a very strictly structured schedule that rarely changes.

You have the same amount of time in the day as millionaires and billionaires who have made their own profit, leaders of the world, incredible athletes, and astronauts up in space. The one thing that binds us all together is that we all have 24 hours in our day. We may be in different socioeconomic classes, different parts of the world, and speak many different languages, but at the end of the day, its still only twenty-four hours.

So, what can we learn from these people?

We can learn how to balance and create a schedule that works for you and your needs alone. Many people fall into the trap of wanting to copy these people's daily routines exactly, you see these videos all across YouTube. However, the real thing to be learned about studying the daily routines of successful people is: that they all created a schedule based on what their needs were and what their work required of them.

Elon Musk reportedly works 85-100 hours a week, and that is no surprise given the number of companies he is in charge of and what all of those companies are trying to do. Because of this demanding work week, he knows that he has to cut down on things that other people usually spend time on. For example, he usually doesn't eat breakfast and tends to eat lunch in about five minutes at his desk while he is working. He splits his time up throughout the week at his different companies, but on Saturdays, Musk can either be found at Space X or with his five children. Elon Musk works every day of the week, there is no real "weekend."

What we can learn from Elon Musk is that he adjusted his life to what needed to be done for each of his companies to advance by maximizing the amount of time in the day. Elon Musk takes every minute to work. While this is especially productive, it may not be called the healthiest routine. So if you don't think that it is the healthiest of routines, then take parts of his routine and try them out in yours.

The best way to create a schedule that best fits your life and your needs is to take inspiration from successful people who have inspired you or have something to do with your field of study or line of work. The key part of that last statement was to "take inspiration."

Twenty four hours may not seem like a lot of time, but the truth is that you can do so much more than you think possible if you start every morning motivated and don't lose that motivation throughout the day. You may not be able to achieve greatness in just one day. However, what we can learn from successful people is that squandering a day will not lead anyone to greatness either.

I often hear people say that they "don't have the time" to do something like reading or exercising. That is simply not the case! We create time for the things that we want to do in life. So, if you tally up the amount of time spent scrolling through Instagram or Facebook, there is the time you're missing to read. If you tally up the amount of time spent binge-watching Netflix shows, there is your exercise time.

My point is that when we have the same amount of time in our day as Elon Musk and Mozart, why waste a minute of it?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
