8 Things All Stubborn Girls Know, And Accept, To Be True

Maybe you're too stubborn to even admit that you're stubborn.

So, if you clicked on this then you've probably been told once or twice that you are "too stubborn." Well, same.

OK, so maybe your too stubborn to even admit that you are stubborn, but if your not sure then if you've experienced most of these things then your probably stubborn, just like me.

1. That eye roll you make when someone tells you to "be flexible"

Eyeroll

I mean we had a plan, so why deter from it?

I get it though, things change and revisions need to be made, but we all know how annoying it can be to have a good plan, and then someone wants to change it.

2. You get annoyed when people tell you for the 100th time that you're "hard headed"

What am I, a goat?

I prefer the term "driven" because when you stick to something, then you get it done.

3.  Group projects can be a particular struggle

Group project

I'm all for listening to others ideas, but sometimes it is difficult if you genuinely believe that yours is the best, but the group won't listen.

4. You say "I told you so" a lot

I told you so

We've all been there - when you know in your heart that you are right about something but then someone else insists differently, only to be proven wrong.

Sometimes you just need to add that "I told you so" in.

5. It's hard to admit when you're wrong

Right

We all hate being wrong, but for stubborn people, it can be particularly challenging.

Personally, I'll acknowledge if I am wrong, but it is hard to accept.

6. People assume that we think we are always right

Mean Girls

It may seem that way, but honestly we know that we don't know what's even going on sometimes.

We just come off as thinking that we know what in the heck is going on.

 7. We know we're too stubborn for our own good

Dog

We've been told this plenty of times before, so we know that we're stubborn, trust me.

We also know that being stubborn isn't our best trait, but it's not horrible to have either.

Our stubbornness can come out as perseverance and drive, but it can occasionally just be plain hardheadedness.

8. We feel bad about it

Sorry

Again, we know it's not our best trait, so we do feel guilty over it sometimes.

We don't mean to be difficult or to give people hard time, it's just a part of who we are.

Those of us who feel this way do acknowledge that we want to try and change it, so we try and manage it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
