Traveling. Most of us love to do it. We love to go to new places, see new things, get away from home and just experience a new world. Laying in bed the night before a trip and thinking about how the next day will be spent in a foreign place is always a tease. Well, that of course is the perfect image inside our heads. The only problem is... the actual traveling part. There is nothing like a stressful day at the airport. From the moment you wake up to the moment you arrive at your destination, there is something that will make your blood boil.

1. Security lines take forever.

Waiting in the security line is just the start of your trip, and it already puts you in a bad mood. Not to mention you have to keep reaching in and out of your purse/bag for your passport and boarding pass at 20 different times.

2. Waiting at the gate.

Once you get past security you probably are so happy you do not have to wait in lines anymore, but then you slowly realize you will be sitting at your gate waiting to board.

3. Delayed flights.

After waiting over an hour at your gate, you hear the intercom go off (thinking you are about to board) only to hear that your flight has been delayed for a few more hours.

4. Boarding is craziness.

When it is finally time to board the flight, people are running like wild animals to get on the plane. People forget all and any etiquette to go sit in a seat that they are assigned.

5. Sitting next to the "talker."

Oh, how lucky are you to be seated next to the person who wants to have a full blown conversation when all you want to do is close your eyes and pretend the little 5-year-old behind you isn't kicking your seat?

6. The person who puts the seat back before takeoff.

Oh, the joy of having the person in front of you push their seat back before the flight even takes off. It's not like you really wanted any type of room anyways, right?

7. Crying babies.

OK. OK. There is not much a family can do about this. It happens. We understand.

8. Crazy, loud and annoying passengers.

Why can't we all just get along on the flight? I mean, we are all feeling stressed and cranky, but there are always those people who just can't bite their tongue and end up starting a fight. Literally.

9. The food is terrible.

Just stick to the bread. You can't go wrong with the bread.

10. No personal space.

It is so cramped in the airplane. It's so sad when you take a seat on a flight and realize how uncomfortable you will be the next few hours.

11. Waiting for your luggage.

The final straw. You are almost there, but first you need to pick up your luggage. Once you do that, you can think to yourself, "I survived!"

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
