The newest installment of Amy Sherman-Palladino's Gilmore Girls is just around the corner (November 25th in case you forgot) and everyone is freaking out, including myself. You may be one who looks at the promo pictures that have been released or watched the trailer fifteen times (I am guilty of both) or you could be one who has sworn off anything that would be construed as a spoiler (which my sister is guilty of), but regardless of your take on it, we are all anxiously awaiting these four episodes.

They've brought about a lot of talk, from whether or not Luke and Lorelai are, in fact, a couple to Richard's death (RIP Edward Herrmann) and how that will be portrayed in the new 90-minute movies to who all from the original cast is coming back. But out of everything that is being discussed, two things still remain prominent in the Stars Hollow world: 1) Who is Rory going to end up with and 2) How ridiculously modified the newest posters for the episodes are.
To those people who are obnoxiously obsessing over both of those points, I have three words for you: Get. A. Life.

First of all, who really cares if a poster, I repeat, a POSTER for Gilmore Girls has been photoshopped? In case you haven't noticed, EVERYTHING nowadays is photoshopped. This is not a new concept. Granted, it's a pointless one, but nonetheless, it happens. We shouldn't be obsessing over how flawless their skin looks or if Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are holding objects weird. Can't you just be happy that we were graced with four, I repeat, FOUR posters for the FOUR seasonal episodes? Yes. Yes, you can.
Second, and this irks me the most about people's discussions of the revival, Rory Gilmore is more than the three men she dated in the previous seasons.
I repeat: RORY GILMORE IS MORE THAN THE THREE MEN SHE DATED IN THE PREVIOUS SEASONS.
Odyssey
Even Amy Sherman-Palladino AND Alexis Bledel herself have stated that fact in past interviews. Go ahead and be Team Dean, Team Jess, or Team Logan, but please, for the love of everything, focus on Rory herself and do not expect her to end up with any of these men. We know for a fact that Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia, and Matt Czuchry are all in the revival, but that isn't what's important here.
What's important is what Rory is doing with her life. She's traveling and seeing the world up close just like she said she would all those years ago back in Headmaster Charleston's office in episode 2 of season 1. Rory doesn't need a man to be fulfilled or to be happy. She has her own life and her own career and her family to get her by. Really, it's something that every girl and young woman should be aspiring for.
So, the people of Stars Hollow, rejoice and be glad about these four episodes, and approach them with an open mind and without judgment. Otherwise, Luke might take away your cell phone. We all know he hates them.
