At long last, the remaining half of DJ Steve Angello‘s debut solo album "Wild Youth" was released on January 22. We reviewed the first half of the album last month, highlighting its soulfulness and deep connection with Angello’s personal journey. In its entirety, "Wild Youth" is certainly an album worth a listen by any EDM fan and beyond.
Standout tracks from the second half of the album include “Stockholm Skies” featuring Tom Taped and Alex Aris as well as “Last Dance” featuring Franz Novotny. These melodic tracks are almost sure to evoke nostalgia, perfect for a casual drive while also able to fit right into a party playlist. Angello continues to push the boundaries of mainstream EDM, proving that it too can be a serious artistic genre in the music world.
Along with part two of the album, the music video for the previously released track “The Ocean” featuring Julia Spada was also released. The video, directed by Filip Tellander, features the story of Swedish heavyweight fighter Ilir Latifi, demonstrating the versatility of Angello’s music:
