Thanks To My Stepdad For Loving Me As Your Own

Thanks To My Stepdad For Loving Me As Your Own
Hannah Williamson

Ya know, I feel like sometimes I don't show my appreciation of you quite enough. Partly because I don't know how I'd ever thank you for all you do for me and partly because I'm still so amazed at how big of a blessing you are to me.

Thank you for filling an empty void in my life. Since my dad passed away when I was young, I didn't really understand how close a daughter could be to her father. But you've changed that perspective for me. You have supported me in ALL I do (including all those cheer competitions and games, you were the best cheer dad!!) and have always managed to be there for me no matter what I was going through or needed.

You've been there to do the typical things a dad does: fill up my car with gas, buy me food, etc. But you've gone so above and beyond that. You have taught me and shown me through your everyday actions how the man God has picked out for me is supposed to treat me one day. You lead our family down God's path for us day in and day out. You always respect my mom. You provide for us, you pray with us, you love us wholeheartedly.

Since my brother graduated from college and moved to a different state, I had pretty much gotten used to it being just me and mom. So, when you came around, I was a little hesitant to let you in. But letting you in became SO EASY when I saw how genuinely happy you made my mom (and me). Now, I cannot imagine life without you in it.

Thank you for completing our family and loving me as your own (because let's face it, I am.)

All in all, you rock. I love you so very much. I know I can't really put into words how much I am thankful for you, but I hope you know how much you are loved and appreciated every single day.

Happy Father's Day!! I love you!!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
