How to stay motivated?

Staying Motivated
blog.dougdvorak.com-

I want you to write these 3 things down every day before you start your morning. I want you to start off by writing your goals.

They can be short term goals or they can be long term goals. And next I want you to write down your fears, what are you afraid of? What is holding you back from achieving these goals? And now lastly I want you to write down your why, why did you get started on these goals in the first place? What motivated you in the beginning? And this why doesn’t have to be complicated. It could literally be simple as taking your family out on vacation every year.

For me my why was getting my mom out of work, and I want you to do this every single morning before you start your day.

Now next let's talk about the company we keep around this. I’m sure you’ve heard this in the past you should cut off the people who are holding you back or being negative in your life. But let’s be realistic can we really cut off our family and friends that we grew up with our whole life? So I am going to ask you do something a little different instead of cutting these people off, I want you to influence them with positivity, instead of their negativity influence you I want you to influence them with your positivity.

One of the main key things in staying motivated is being able to control your thoughts! We tell our brain to send a signal when we want our body to do something, we tell our brain we want our hands to move and it sends a signal, we tell our brain we want our eyes to close and it sends a signal to do that. So if we can literally control our entire body using our mind, why can we not control our thoughts? Why can we not control whether we want to think positivity or negatively about something?

So I challenge you, I challenge you to control your thoughts, because if you can conquer your mind you can conquer the world.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
