Starting Your Thanksgiving Break On The Wrong Foot

Aaaah yes, finally Thanksgiving break. Time to relax, wake up late, watch some more Netflix, and eat anything that you see. As you get out of class Friday afternoon you start group texting your friends on what to do during your break. As you are making plans you are not taking into consideration the homework you have been assigned that you must do.

May I remind you that just 2 days ago you were telling yourself that you would start your homework assignments Friday to not get behind. You told yourself that you must start early on in order to enjoy the rest of your vacation. You planned to have all your homework done by Monday night in order to do nothing for the rest of the days. You even made a schedule.

You ignore me and decide to just go home Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night to sleep. You are out all day to do who know what with who knows who. You are enjoying yourself, being carefree, that is of course until you get home at 2 a.m. Sunday night, or should I say Monday morning. It is at that very instant that you realize you are no longer taking lower division classes. The good ol’ days when professor decided to cancel class and you had a whole week off. No no no, you have class tomorrow morning, err later today, and yes you have homework due.
