Recently Starbucks released new spring cups. It was every basic college girl's dream to see these colorful cups around. In green, blue and yellow, they were even made so you could draw on it, for those artistic souls. The cups had writing on them that said, "Color Me Spring" and a white circle to draw whatever your heart desired. As I would stop at Starbucks every morning before heading to my first class of the day, I would get a hot drink. I noticed that they were able to bring more joy into my days, as the colors had a positivity glow about them. A picture of them is shown below:
They introduced these cups this year, released on March 16. Upon seeing them, the first thing I thought of was the red cups they do for Christmas. The whole point of the red cups is to get you in the spirit of Christmas, and I'm sure that's what they were aiming for with these cute cups. While there were only limited cups, I noticed many of my friends walking around with them.
In my opinion, spring is one of the best seasons. It's not too hot or too cold. You can walk around, and the flowers start blooming. Everything about spring just screams 'happy' to me. It's the perfect time to go sit at your favorite lake, a book in hand, and just relax from all the stress going on in your life. I first heard about the cups from reading an article on "Cosmo" and in the article, it said they were releasing them to get everyone in the spirit of spring.
As I thought about that idea more, I then started to wonder why they don't release holiday cups in general. Who wouldn't want a cute Halloween cup to get you in the mood for festivities? They could even release Valentine's Day cups to get everyone in the mood for Valentine's Day. Even if you don't have a significant other, it would spread positivity to everyone, making the Scrooge's of Valentine's Day a little less bitter. Plus, imagine how much revenue they would bring in with all the girls who want to take pictures of it.
I'm all for Starbucks releasing these cute cups more often and hopefully seeing more versions of them.
