The semester is winding down and finals week is quickly approaching. The level of stress increases as you begin to think of all the studying you must do during this week in particular. Finals week calls for sleepless nights and the endless study sessions that formulate questioning your insanity and developing tears. It can be torturous, but when it's over with -- it's only one step towards your goal.

1. Your professor declares the date for the final.

2. You realize how much studying has to be done. You begin to evaluate how much studying must be done...

3. He then begins to discuss every bit of material that will be covered on the exam.

Which is everything from the entire semester...

4. Trying to cram and retain information makes you feel so many different emotions.

5. You begin to cope by stress-eating everything in sight...

6. You attend your class study session. The know-it-all asks the group a question from the study guide and your response is:

7. In the midst of your study session, everything becomes a distraction to you.

8. With all of this studying, you start to consider dropping out of school. All you want to do is be rich.

9. Your friends see your intense level of stress and cater you with kind words for encouragement. Kind of?

10. You apologize to anyone you've hurt with your words because of your overwhelming stress.

11. You talk to a friend and vent and then evaluate your actions.

12. You begin to analyze if being a college student is for you.

13. When your professor proceeds to tell you, "You will be fine. Just try to prioritize your time:"

14. Cram sessions aren't going to cut it. You've found an additional tutor and greet them like this:

15. You are nearly delusional at this point in the game.

16. At some point, your brain cannot contain any more information.

An overwhelming sense of any distraction is seen as a good idea.

17. Like singing out loud ...

18. It gets to the point of not understanding what you have studied anymore.

19. Your emotions are completely out of whack again as you realize the final is right around the corner.

20. When someone tells you that you cannot listen to music while studying:

21. While at your study session, your top priorities seem more important.

22. Morning of finals day... you realize you should have studied more.

23. You tell yourself to get it together. It's going to be OK!

24. You say a prayer before taking the final.

25. As you walk out of the final exam feeling a weight off your shoulders:

26. Your thought as you receive your final exam grade:

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
