Can't Wait 'til Spring Break

Spring Break is one of those events that stays with you. It's sort of like prom, your favorite birthday, and it's right up there with graduation. If you do something fun and exciting, you'll remember your Spring Breaks for years to come! While It's totally okay to do absolutely nothing and veg-out, I think it's totally necessary to have at least one fun, wild and a little crazy spring break in your life! The downside is that in order to have to stay safe and have pleasant spring break memories, you can't get too wild.

You can make rules up for yourself and say what you will and won't do, but chance are, if you drink too much, all of those rules will go right out the door. So, I'm risking sounding like a fun-buster, but it is completely mandatory that you don't get fall-down drunk, because it's so dangerous out there.

Now that I've got that out of the way, I hope that if you are planning to go to a popping location for your Spring Break. I've had a ton of fun on Daytona Beach. The entire city seemed to be just one huge party city. My girls and I had fun, and we didn't attend a single organized event. We just cruised met up with other friends and flirted with the fellas. Our flirting was extremely tame, though. You never know you might run into during Spring Break on an out of town trip, so don't do anything that would get you into hot water later. I actually ran into one of my male cousins in Daytona during Spring Break. Let me tell you, seeing him chilled me out quickly.

Okay, so just in case you do not have any plans, but you are thinking about getting away with some friends, you could always go to Miami if Daytona isn't your think. Miami is hype all year long, and it's super-hype for Spring Break. You can drive to Miami, be there in a few hours. Hotel rooms near the beaches are expensive, so you might have to find a spot away from all of the action. Take Uber around town, because the parking situation and the traffic are nothing to play with. Wherever you go, have fun, be safe, and take plenty of selfies!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
