It's fine, we're all fine

So it's finally here. The end of the semester is nigh and I'm sure we're all just over the moon. Those papers and projects that we continuously put off are finally due. The last minute scramble for extra credit is real. Finals are almost upon us. What a time to be alive, my friends. Here are a few gifs that just might accurately describe what it feels like at this exact point in time:

1. All night study/work sessions

Don't you remember earlier in the semester when you thought it was okay to wait on all of the work that's due now? You were just so naive back then...Say hello to late nights and no sleep for the next few weeks.

2. Professors assigning MORE work

You know how the syllabus already had all of those wonderful end of the term assignments scheduled for this time? Well, how about just a few more? Like five or six. Or ten... Try not to fall out of your chair and curl into the fetal position.

3. When professors tell you to take a deep breath

Take a breath? Oh okay. Got it. Thanks for the tip. That will definitely help us when we're trying to finish the mountains of work that you've assigned and then cram for your exam...

4. Trying to stick to your normal routine

Attempting to get all of your work done while sticking to your routine of doing laundry every once in a while, catching a few hours of sleep here and there, and maybe feeding yourself may look a little bit like this.

5. And the feeling we all know

When you work for what feels like hours and check to see how much you've actually done. Looks like you'll be investing a few more sleepless hours...

When all is said and done, we're all probably incredibly excited to see this semester finally come to an end. Stay strong and keep on that work grind. Good luck!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
