I recently watched the new Spider-Man: Homecoming and decided to review the movie. There are three categories that I judged the movie on and those three are: Overall Plot, Portrayal of Characters and Family Friendliness. This is a SPOILER FREE review so feel free to share it with your friends and family.
Overall Plot
There was some pre-mature speculation on how this movie was going to turn out. However, the plot was well thought out and each line was very well written. This movie has some surprising twist and suspenseful, edge-of-your-seat moments that will make you forget all about that overpriced snack stand.
Portrayal of Characters
When I decided to review this movie I knew I had to cover this because it seemed so controversial and to be completely honest, Tom Holland was fantastic as Peter Parker. Every actor/actress was perfectly placed for each character, especially the supporting actors. Micheal Keaton was the perfect villian, and of course, Robert Downey, Jr. was...well it's Robert Downey, Jr.
Family Friendliness
Unfortunately there is some cursing in the film (with the teasing of an f-bomb in the ending scene before it cuts to the credits) so it is not really recommended for young children. Because of this I would say that the movie is more suitable for mature teens and adults.
Overall, this movie was very well written to each actors strengths and the story line was very well thought out. It was just a plain good movie. In a scoring system I'd have to give it at least an 8/10. For more nerd related stuff make sure to follow me on Odyssey and also, follow the Anderson University page. Bye for now!
