South Florida is an exciting place to be at anytime throughout the year. There are so many things to do and it is really so easy to get around. Living in South Florida for my whole life has definitely been a blessing in disguise and I miss it so much every single day. Here are a couple reasons why South Florida is the place to be:
1. Sunshine
Sun is always around at least once during any day in “sunny South Florida.” You can always plan on having events or parties outside and even if it does rain a little bit, I can assure you it will end within the next 20 minutes.
2. Beaches
There are so many beaches on the coach of Florida that you can go to. They are all beautiful, the water is warm and clear. Also, boating is a fun activity when the seas aren’t too rough to either fish, water ski or even jet ski. If you live in Florida, you pretty much have a tan all year round because the temperature doesn’t drop below 70 degrees.
3. Malls
I can think of at least 11 malls that many residents, and even tourists, circulate through on a long day of shopping. Aventura, Boca Town Center, Coral Square, Dolphin Mall and so many more. These malls all together have stores that appeal to everyone. You have department stores, like Macy’s and Sears, and teen stores, like Hollister and Pacsun, and other stores like Pottery Barn, Crate N Barrel and stores of that nature.
4. Miami
Miami is such a big city that people all over the world come to South Florida to visit. Down by the beach, there are shops and restaurants of all kinds that you can go to during the day. In Miami, there is Wynwood Walls which is in the Art District. It is practically an outside museum to walk through of all the murals. From day to night, the streets turn from holding tourists and residents running up and down in bathing suits, while at night, the people transform with elegant dresses and heels headed out to a fancy dinner or clubs.
5. The Florida Keys
From where I am from, the lowest Key, known at Key West is only a five-hour drive. Key Largo, the Key that is most north, is only about an hour and a half away from me. Going to the Keys could be a day trip to fish, paddle board and kayak. Also, you could vacation there for a few days on end. There are resorts there as well. One of the most well-known ones is Hawks Cay Resort. This resort is absolutely beautiful, they offer so many amenities such as pools, lagoons, a marina and many opportunities to do water sports.
South Florida is a great place to live and an even better place to vacation and adventure. If you and your family are stuck on what might be the annual question, “Where should we go for vacation?” I would definitely suggest South Florida. And if you go in anytime of the Winter or Summer months, give me a call!
