We've changed our majors about a million times and the #ootd is usually sweats and a t-shirt (which is totally okay we all do it...embrace it!). Sophomore year is chock full of ups and downs. These songs are guaranteed to get you out of that sophomore slump and launch you right into junior year! Remember, Lin Manuel-Miranda went to college too so he definitely gets what you're going through.

1. "Totally F*cked" from Spring Awakening

Have you changed your major five times in the past two weeks? Didn't study for that really big test tomorrow? If you're feeling totally and completely like the world is going to end, you're not the only one. Everyone at more points than one has felt ~totally fucked~ during their college career. Whether it's during finals or you're feeling the pressure to figure out what you want to do for the rest of your life (trust me, it's okay not to know), that feeling of everything coming crashing down is completely normal. You're not alone in this and before you know it, you'll be decorating and bedazzling the crap out of that graduation cap.

2. "My New Philosophy" from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

Channel your inner Sally/ Kristin Chenoweth and look on the brighter side! Nothing sucks more than failing a test but, it's important to remember that life will go on! Find a new outlook on life, find the positive in a negative grade. Don't let the bad define you. Finding your "new philosophy" could be the change you need, whether it be to help you realize what career path to choose or to realize you don't need some silly frat guy to be happy. Look on the brighter side, things will get better!

3. "Chip On My Shoulder" from Legally Blonde

Christian Borle (my husband) er, Emmett, especially speaks to the college student who needs that extra push. Like Emmett says, college is such an incredible opportunity. Though it's easy to fall into a pattern and feel like you're not getting anywhere, a "chip on your shoulder" is exactly what you need to get you out of that sophomore slump. Whether it's that job you've been dreaming of since high school or you just want to get out, having something that motivates you through the hard times will push you to strive for the best.

4. "You'll Never Walk Alone" from Carousel

By now, you've probably found those few friends that you know you can always count on. You have a solid support system and your friends will always be there for you. Through and through, you know you'll "never be alone". Your best friends are the ones who buy you chocolates and watch rom coms with you after a breakup, who give you just the right pep talk before going up to that cute guy at the bar, who always know how to turn your frown upside down. No matter what, you always have your people to lean on.

5. "They Say It's Wonderful" from Annie Get Your Gun

College is a wild ride and though it's messy at times, you'll remember these four as the best years of your life. The bad and the good combined equal your most memorable times and you wouldn't have it any other way. Let's face it, college is fucking amazing and wonderful and everything else under the sun. It's definitely true, what they say: it's completely and utterly wonderful.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
