This sonnet is in reference to Alice Herz, which not only highlights her love of Music, but mine as well.

Poem:
Shutting off the lights to hear Alice speak
My eyes synchronized with hope in her eyes
Her past was bleak; my concern she did pique
Sitting in my seat, I heard the words wise
She had survived the sheer force of the dark
With breath in her body, she still plays notes
Throughout those bushes, she had seen the spark
And from her words, this is what I will quote:
“Music is God!” is what I heard her say!
In ways many, I could not agree more!
For it is music that makes us feel gay!
With music forever playing, we soar!
I heard her say music is the great lord.
I heard her well; music is forever.
