Music has been my go to lately for whatever mood I'm feeling. I bombard my friends with suggestions all the time and definitely hog the aux cord. Since I'm sure my friends are fed up with my suggestions, here I 20 songs I think everyone should have on their playlist.

1. "Handclap" by Fitz & The Tantrums

This is my go to pump up song. It’s up beat and makes you want to dance. It’s a great song to play when you are getting ready to go out or if you want something to work out to.

2. "Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself" by Jesse Glynne

This song is up beat and catchy with a good meaning behind it. Basically nobody is perfect and that’s ok, keep moving forward.

3. "I Can’t Stop Drinking About you" by Bebe Rexha

The perfect song for when you need to get over someone. It’s catchy and you’ll be singing along in no time.

4. "DSYLM (Don’t Say You Love Me)" by Rubee Rayne

Another song to get you dancing. I play this song every time I do my hair to help the time go by.

5. "Last Dance" by Dua Lipa

This song is a go to while getting ready. It gets everyone in a good mood and ready to dance.

6. "Catch" by Allie X

Walking to class listening to this song makes me feel like I could rule the world.

7. "Soundcheck" by Catfish and the Bottlemen

This song is extremely catchy and will put you in a good mood no matter what.

8."Sit Still, Look Pretty" by Daya

Daya has being killing the game lately, first Hide Away and now this. “I don’t know what you’ve been told but this girl right here is gonna rule the world” is my favorite line because she is not letting anyone tell her what to do and its something we can all learn from.

9. "Tired of Talking" by LÈON

This song reminds me that I’m not the only one that gets annoyed with people.

10. "Our Own House" by MisterWives

This song starts slow and quickly builds into an up beat song about not falling apart which is advice we can all take.

11. "Radio" by Luna Aura

This is a slower song and it has a great beat that makes walking to class feel a little less miserable.

12. "Skin" by Kyla La Grange

I get chills from the first note of this song. The chorus gets me every time and I can’t help but sing along whenever I hear it.

13." Ride Away" by Opposite the Other

Another extremely catchy song that gets you nodding your head to the beat no matter where you are.

14. "Underdressed" by Vérité

A mellow song about a girl who would do anything for a boy. I suggest listening with headphones

15. "Trouble" by Cage the Elephant

Another mellow song about someone’s love getting them out of trouble.

16. "Bang Bang" by Lawrence Taylor

This song starts mellow and builds up. His voice is extremely soothing and makes it feel like anything is possible.

17. "Hurt Me" by Låpsley

My sister indirectly introduced me to Låpsley when she showed me her solo song and I quickly fell in love with her. This is a song about how it feels when someone hurts you which is something everyone can relate to.

18. "Drive" by Oh Wonder

The harmonizing done in this song actually kills me every time. It’s another mellow song about how hard it can be to love someone.

19. "Never Be Like You" by Flume

This song is basically all about asking for forgiveness. Messing up is a part of life and it really shows in this song.

20. "New York" by Milk and Bone

This is another song where I get chills every time I hear the first note. It’s a very mellow song about a cheating relationship.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
