Everyone has those songs they could listen to a million times without getting tired of them. These are songs that can lift you up on a bad day and fit whatever mood you are in. Take a look at my list of go-to-songs and take a listen on your favorite song download site.

All These Things That I’ve Done—The Killers

This is at the top of my list because it is my forever favorite song. I’m not joking when I say I’ve probably listened to this song at least 75 times since I discovered it when I was like 12. The lyric “I’ve got soul, but I’m not a soldier” is pure genius. Everything about this song is a work of art.

Fix You—Coldplay

There’s something about this song that hits me deep in my soul. I think there’s a lyric in here that everyone can relate to. And the guitar solo cannot be beat. One thing I particularly like about “Fix You” is how it slowly builds up intensity until the end. This song is just simply beautiful.

All Is Well—Austin Basham

I recently discovered this song on Spotify. I’m sure most people have never heard it because it’s by a not very well know artist, but please listen to it. It’s seriously so pretty. The guitar and lyrics are just charming.

Send Me On My Way—Rusted Root

I don’t know what it is about this song, but it just puts me in a good mood. And for whatever reason it makes me want to go on an adventure. Put on this song and you’re bound to have a good day.

First Day Of My Life—Bright Eyes

I absolutely love this song. I think it is a perfect depiction of real love and how sometimes love takes time to fully develop. This will definitely play at my wedding someday.

Hotel California—Eagles

Guitar solo. That’s all I’m saying about this one.

Africa—Toto

I don’t know what it is about this song, but it is a song for those days when you’re down in the dumps. It came out in the 80’s and we all know the 80’s was a time for some great music, and this song is no exception.

Roses—OutKast

I put this one on here because I think it is so funny. Sometimes I laugh out loud to the lyrics.

Home—Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros

I love belting out this song in the car. This is one my good mood songs as well. The best thing is to belt it out with a friend and one of you sings the male part and the other the female part.

Have You Ever Seen The Rain?—Creedence Clearwater

This is an oldie but goodie. I never get tired of this upbeat tune.

Piano Man—Billy Joel

Another oldie but goodie. This one doesn’t need much explanation since it’s crowd pleaser and a work of genius.

Take it Easy—Eagles

One of my favorite songs of all time. I try to take this song as my motto of life. “Take it easy, take it easy. Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy.”

Springsteen—Eric Church

Of course I had to throw some country in here. Springsteen is such a good song. I couldn’t stop listening to this song when it first came out. And I still get enjoyment from this summery country song.

Where Is The Love?—The Black Eyed Peas

This is on my list because I love the message. “Take control of your mind and meditate. Let your soul gravitate to the love, y’all.”

Live Like You Were Dying—Tim McGraw

I couldn’t get through this list without a Tim McGraw mention. This song gives me goose-bumps every time I listen to it. It’s just such a good song about how you should live your life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
