Wow, time really does fly. Here all of us college freshman are ready for summer to begin—and how weird that summer starts in May? I’m sure for many, including myself, this year has been one of the greatest, but we’re all ready to go home. Recently I’ve noticed that many artists have written songs that are extremely relatable to college freshman.

1. "Happy" - Pharrell Williams

All in all, college is a pretty happy time and is basically the first time one experiences the true meaning of freedom. There’s no curfew or anyone watching over you all the time and you have the power to make your own decisions.

2. "Stressed Out" - Twenty One Pilots

I think the song title sums it up pretty well. Although socializing is a huge part of freshman year, there was a lot of stress that came with it especially during finals week.

3. "Feel So Close" - Calvin Harris

This song title is definitely relatable in regards to the last week of classes. Everyone feels so close to summer, but the only thing standing in the way are final exams.

4. "Without You" - David Guetta

“Without you, without you, I am lost” Everyone has that one friend who they simply could not do college without.

5. "What Do You Mean?" - Justin Bieber

This is definitely a common question all students ask themselves when their professor is rambling on about something you have no idea about.

6. "Where the Party At" - Jagged Edge, Nelly

When Friday has finally arrived and all you and your friends want to do it party, you just have to figure out where the best party will be.

7. "All Night Longer" - Sammy Adams

As freshman year is now coming to close, I’m sure many of us literally want to party “all night longer” with all of the friends we’ve made this year.

8. "No Money" - Galantis

Yet again, the title sums it up. Many of us college students are neglecting to check how much is in our bank accounts.

9. "Bang My Head" - David Guetta, Fetty Wap

I’m sure it’s safe to say that many of us have seriously thought about banging our heads against the wall in times of stress.

10. "Time of Our Lives" - Pitbull, Ne-Yo

They say that college is the best four years of your life, and freshman year is just the start to the time of your life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
