Social media can be oh so good and oh so bad at the same time. It's one of my guilty pleasures to scroll through my Instagram explore page until I realize I've been on my phone for way too long.

But I have learned over time that there are some major pros and cons to social media.

Personally, I love social media to document memories and give myself a visual timeline of my life and all of the special events and memories that come with it.

Connecting with people from all over the world in the click of a button is truly amazing. Comparing yourself and questioning who you are because of those "perfect" Instagram models is not so amazing.

Don't think for a second that someone's life is as perfect as their glossy, edited, perfect pictures on Instagram.

I feel like we've all been there before where we look at someone we see online and wish that we had their life instead of the one that's real, right in front of us and rightfully our own. Or we tend to compare ourselves to someone we might aspire to be like, failing to realize that everyone does things differently and on their own time.

Everyone is in their own lane and does things at a different pace. So comparing your life to someone else's will do literally nothing for your life. Look up to people and have those role models to motivate you but also know you are one of a kind and can reach your own personal goals at your own pace in your own way.

Like anything else, too much of a good thing can be bad. Don't forget to detach every once in a while and look up at the people around you and what life has to offer you right now. Don't get caught up in the hype, just be yourself and take advantage of what is right in front of you and the rest will come in time.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
