With all the celebrities of Hollywood heading the news, where are there good role models left in the world? As a male, there are few role models outside family members to have nowadays. Where can one find a good role model now? Here are ten admirable role models, from childhood stories, for the average Joe.

1. Atticus Finch:

A loving father and do-gooder. He always knows what’s right and wrong but he isn’t always sure of what he’s doing. That’s ok, you don’t have to always be sure of what you know, just confidently do what you think is right.

2. Sherlock Holmes:

He always looks for the answer even when it isn’t obviously apparent. Don’t focus on girls either, focus on what you really want and what you are really after.

3. Willy Wonka:

Give what you can. When you have more than you need, give it to others. Let your life be a legacy of compassion.

4. Mr. Rogers:

Mr. Rogers strived for compassion. He was an average army youth who strived to change the world for the better. Live your best life by giving what you can.

5. Peter Pan:

Find magic in the smallest of things and never grow up when you don’t have to. Always see the magic in the world.

6. Romeo:

Love fiercely and always show your emotions. Don’t die of course, but give your heart to someone so that they can cherish it forever. Let them give their hearts to you so you can cherish them as well.

7. Robin Hood:

Give to the poor. Not necessarily by stealing, but give to those who are less fortunate.

8. Severus Snape:

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Do not show hate.

9. Sirius Black:

Always believe in your cause even when it hurts. The truth will always set you free.

10. The Beast (Beauty and the Beast):

Focus on your inner self and don’t get caught up on outer beauty.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
