In our society today, slang words have become an essential part of our communication. As a New Englander, we all know our common slang word, "wicked." It's used to replace for words such as "really" or "very". Traditional slang words are perfectly fine when it is used in context, but when our generations grows; new slang words are created too. It feels like these newly created slang words are created in a way where its getting out of hand.
1. Basic: An adjective used to describe any person, place, activity involving obscenely obvious behavior, dress, action.
During the fall seasons we all love to wear our vest, flannels, or drink pumpkin spice lattes. Because it's so popular, people tend to think that you are being unoriginal or as you can say "basic." Being unoriginal or liking the norm isn't a sin.
2. Netflix + Chill: code for two people going to each others houses and doing sexual related acts
I hate when people say this because it actually did mean, "Hey lets hangout , make popcorn, and pick out a Netflix series to binge watch on." I don't understand why people had to take this out of context and make it have a sexual meaning to it.
3. Fleek: on point
How did "fleek" even come close to meaning on point? These two words barely are related to each other. When this word became a popular use, I was confused to why it was ever created.
4. Turnt: Like hype for a party, or at the club!
A typical guy would say this to describe a boring party to get people to come to the party.
5. Bae: Danish word for poop. Also used by people on the internet who think its means baby, sweetie.
People use this terminology because they are to lazy to say the full word, "babe."
6. Thirsty: Too eager to get something or desperate.
When a guy/girl won't stop texting you, it means they are being thirsty. Sometimes thirsty people doesn't get the hint to as to why you didn't text them back at 2:00 a.m., when they ask you , "Hey are you up?"

To sum everything up of what I am trying to say is that people need to stop making new slangs. It serves no purpose, but to change the meaning of words into something sexual or irrelevant.
