If you're like me, you probably have really sensitive skin and break out easily. You keep looking for different treatments that won't cause a breakout, but the only ones that ever tend to work are ones that are ludicrously priced because of the "designer" names attached to them. Luckily for you, I have decided to take one for the team and be the guinea pig. Here are five products that not only did not break me out but also helped treat and minimize my acne.

1. Vitamin C Serum

Vitamin C serum not only helps with protection against sun damage and hyper-pigmentation, but if you're like me and have suffered from acne for a long time, vitamin C serum does wonders for acne and acne scars by helping to eliminate them. I've gone through two and a half bottles since I first discovered it, and the difference it has made on my skin has made me want to cry happy tears. And the best part? You can find it for around $15.00 (depending on the brand)!

2. Tea Tree Oil

Honestly, I was really hesitant about tea tree oil when my friend first recommended it to me. I thought that its potency would dry out my skin, which would then cause me to break out more, but I was relieved to find that it actually killed my problem pimples. I don't recommend applying it to your whole face, but it works marvels as a spot treatment, and you can find it at any drugstore (or Amazon) for under $12!

3. Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil not only serves as a great acne treatment, scar-reducer, and moisturizer, but its effects can serve as a "highlighter", aiding in making your skin look healthy. My favorite trick is adding a single drop to my foundation before I apply it to my skin, and it leaves my skin GLOWING. You can find rosehip oil online for around $15 to $20.

4. Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil serves as a remedy for many of the same things as rosehip oil, so it's really up to you whether you want to use both or just one. I recommend using Jojoba oil at night if you're using rosehip oil during the day because mixing the two may have you looking extra shiny, but hey, if you're into that, go for it! You can also find jojoba oil for only around $15.00

5. Proactiv Plus

Okay, so this one is a little bit pricey, coming in at around $120.00, but the good news is that it's designed for sensitive skin, as opposed to the regular Proactiv, so it doesn't have the same harsh, drying effects that regular Proactiv does. It's also a three-month supply, so really you're only paying about $40.00 a month for an exfoliator, a "pore targeting treatment," a "cleansing body bar" and a "complexion perfecting hydrator." I've been using this system twice a day for about a year, and I've seen significant improvement on my skin.

Now, my skin isn't anywhere near perfect, but it is 100 times better since I started using these products! I found that using all of these products together, letting each product properly dry on my face before applying the next, does wonders for my skin.

If you're wondering what my skin routine consists of, allow me to go into detail: I wake up in the morning and cleanse with a Cetaphil cleanser, then I exfoliate with the Proactiv exfoliator. I then dry my skin and apply vitamin c serum, followed by rosehip or jojoba oil, followed by the pore targeting treatment, and then the Proactiv hydrator. I then apply sunscreen. If it's night time, I do the same thing, except I spot treat with the tea tree oil as the very last step.

I know having trouble skin requires paying more time and attention to your skin, but believe me, it's so worth it!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
