Okay, so it’s that time of year again not Christmas, but Valentine’s Day. Now for those who like the day, you do you and enjoy the day. For those of us who dislike the day, you might want to stick around and learn why this day isn't that sucky for us single people.
1. If you’re not entirely alone in the market, then your besties are your go-to “dates” or drinking buddies.
Seriously though, every person needs a friend to go out with and have fun, not be depressed about being single and making some good memories that you'll know you won't regret.
2. You don't feel obligated to dress up and spend a lot of money to impress someone.
Y'all this is college, chances are you probably stayed up until 4 am studying for a test that is at 8,9 or 11 am. When you wake up and realizes it Valentine's day, you probably thinking "oh $%^& I have a date" and don't feel like dressing nicely at all and apparently forgot a gift for your date. With being single, you can dress like a bum and save money from not doing last minute shopping.
3. You still get candy, it just the day after Valentine's day when most stores have the big sale on candy.
I'm the type of person that loves to make small presents for Valentine's day for all my friends. Some people who are in relationships don't do that because they want to save up money for a gift. By being single, you can splurge on the people that been there since day one.
4. You don't feel too guilty for wanting to stay in.
If you're in a relationship, you feel obligated to go out or leave the house to go to another's, and if you feel like not going, you tend to feel guilty. As a single person, you don't have guilt for wanting to stay in and watch Netflix.
