You probably would have never expected a friendship to blossom so quickly when you met your future soulma... I mean your best friend. You always wonder to yourself how they put up with all the weird things you do, but in all honesty, they return the favor in some way. You're basically a two-person squad and it's because of this that everyone envies you (or you think so in your head at least). But in all honesty, what makes your friendship really stand out? Maybe it's the hysterical laughter every five seconds? The deep talks about life at 3 a.m.? The "no-judgement rule" when you forcefully shove junk food in your mouth even though you aren't that hungry? That's when you know a friendship gets real. So real that you take it to the next level: BEST friends. Big labels hold big responsibilities, didn't you already know? It's that same level where you think everyone else's friendships are lacking compared to yours. You know why? Because you and your best friend are goals for every friendship out there.

1. You have the most hilarious.. and probably most concerning, conversations ALL THE TIME. It get's really strange..really fast. Obviously the weirdness makes you stand out, right?

2. When something goes wrong, either of you are there for one another, ready to hug it out for a good 20 minutes with a tub of Ben and Jerry's ice cream and some random reality TV show to watch.

3. You manage to have a never-ending conversation...which usually goes off track most of the time, but you're ALWAYS talking to each other.

4. You look at other friendships and wonder if they even have as much fun as you and your best friend do, they obviously must be missing out.

5. You both make time for one another no matter what, even if both of you have a 10-page paper due at midnight the day of... but at least you won't be alone writing it!

6. You make it through a day of not talking or seeing each other, and quickly text them "Hey, is everything OK?? What happened? Is something wrong?" because what did you even do without talking to your best friend today? Probably nothing honestly.

7. You manage to let your best friend have dibs on a hot mutual friend... but you'd only do this for your best friend and no one else. I mean, who else would make that kind of sacrifice?

8. When something good happens to one of you, it happens to both of you instantaneously, because you both feed off of each other's happiness.

9. Through little bumps in the road, you both can't stay mad at each other. Ever.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
