Congratulations! It's a dog or cat and you are now a proud new fur parent. How do you know when you've reached the ultimate status of world's best fur mom or dad? Well these should help you decide that.

1. You ask them how they are, even though they can't actually answer you.

2. You talk to them in 'fur-baby' voice. "You are so cute, oh yes you are!"

3. You call your parents 'grandma' or 'grandpa.'

4. You feel guilty when you pet another cat or dog.

5. You try to go shopping for yourself, and just end up buying something for them again.

6. When people talk about having kids one day, and you're just like "my dog/cat is enough for me."

7. When you're signing a card, you're sure to not forget that's it's from you AND your fur baby.

8. You wrap presents for them for Christmas and you go all-out for their birthday.

9. They want over half your bed to sleep in? You will absolutely take the corner and sleep in some uncomfortable position.

10. When you don't see them all day, let alone a whole night, you can't wait to see them.
