New year, same great TV shows! With January comes the mid-season and new season premieres we've all been waiting for.

Check out this list of awesome shows coming back this month:

1. "The Blacklist"

Part one of "The Blacklist" season premiere airs on Thursday, January 3rd on NBC.

2. "The Bachelor"

"The Bachelor" premieres on ABC on Monday, January 7th.

3. "Black-ish"

"Black-ish" returns on Tuesday, January 8th on ABC.

4. "Modern Family"

Everyone's favorite family returns on Wednesday, January 9th.

5. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine"

The Nine-Nine crew is back on it's new network, NBC, on Thursday, January 10th!

6. "The Good Place"

"The Good Place" crew is back again on Thursday, January 10th on NBC.

7. "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend"

Celebrate the return of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" on Friday, January 11th.

8. "This Is Us"

This tear-jerker returns on Tuesday, January 15th on NBC.

9. "Riverdale"

The CW's best is back on Wednesday, January 16th!

10. "Grey's Anatomy"

The long-running hospital drama is back on Thursday, January 17th in it's TGIT lineup.

11. "Will & Grace"

The "Will & Grace" reboot season returns to the small screen on Thursday, January 31st.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines.
