Netflix has an incredible variety of shows out right now, and with Thanksgiving Break right around the corner, it's the perfect excuse for a little binge-sesh.

Thanksgiving Break is coming up for most college students in the next few days, which probably means a lot of quality time spent with family and friends, as well as lots of plans being made to make the most out of the few days home. However, Thanksgiving Break also means downtime for almost every student, which at this point in the semester is much-needed.

I personally know that one of the things I'm looking most forward to next week is lounging on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and my laptop. It's been a good few months since I had a decent Netflix binge, and with so many amazing new titles being added each month, I'm looking forward to late nights spent watching my favorite series.

With input from other college students to ensure that only the best series are included to enhance your binge-sesh experience, here's the most highly recommended television shows worth watching:

1. "The Haunting of Hill House"

One of the newest Netflix originals, but extremely well-produced and well-acted. If you're looking for a good scare, this will cover your bases. But if you're very jumpy, don't watch this show with the lights off!

2. "Gossip Girl"

"Gossip Girl" became one of the first television series to combine drama and mystery in the best way possible. Being one of the classic binge-worthy series, "Gossip Girl" has men and women of all ages addicted.

3. "The Office"

If you're looking for a good laugh, you can never turn down watching "The Office." The episodes are on the shorter side, so it's not a huge commitment to watch a couple, and the show is one of the most quotable to ever be produced.

4. "Grey's Anatomy"

Personally one of my favorite television series, Grey's will put you through every emotion. You'll laugh, you'll smile, you'll cry, you'll fall in love with all of the characters and then watch as most of them die. But that's okay because it's so addicting and is now at season 15, so can give you something more long-term to look forward to.

5. "Shameless"

"Shameless" is for the more mature audiences, but undoubtedly will provide you with lots of laughs and leave you falling in love with (most) of the Gallagher Family and their crazy everyday adventures.

6. "Stranger Things"

If you haven't watched "Stranger Things" yet, I don't know where you've been the last 3 years, because "Stranger Things" is without a doubt one of the most popular series to ever hit Netflix. Addicting, exciting, and funny, "Stranger Things" is a show you can easily binge-watch in just a few days.

7. "Black Mirror"

If you enjoy watching some extremely thought-provoking and out of the box ideas come to life, "Black Mirror" provides just that. "Black Mirror" gives you a glimpse into the future of technology and society and is sure to leave you evaluating what our future will look like.

8. "Fuller House"

A bit of a spin-off from the original immensely successful 90's sitcom, "Fuller House" brings back some of your favorite characters for more laughs and heartfelt family moments.

9. "Friends"

"Friends" is one of those classic shows that you will probably watch a couple of times from start to end throughout your laugh. You'll fall in love with the six best friends and wish that your lives and friendships were just as crazy and fun as theirs. Not to mention that the show is absolutely hilarious and is one of the most easily quotable shows ever.

10. "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina"

This series was my most recent Netflix binge-watch, and absolutely worth all of the late nights watching the first season. If you're a fan of the Archie comics or watched "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" when you were younger, this new series takes a bit of a darker turn, but in the most compelling and interesting way. I am personally extremely excited to see what season 2 will bring.

11. "Gilmore Girls"

"Gilmore Girls" is one of those shows that will make you laugh, cry, and smile all at the same time. I've never met anyone who didn't absolutely love the show, which is just another reason to give it a watch.

12. "Glee"

When I first started watching "Glee," I was unsure if I would actually like it because I'm not a huge fan of musicals or having shows broken up by moments of song and dance. However, I was absolutely hooked after just one episode! "Glee" is so well-written, and you will without a doubt fall in love with the characters and be singing along to each amazingly well-done musical number.

13. "Riverdale"

"Riverdale" is one of those guilty pleasure shows. With a bit of a combination of "Pretty Little Liars," "Gossip Girl," and "Buffy The Vampire Slayer," this show has plenty of drama, mystery, and hot characters to please everyone. We might also see a future cross-over between "Riverdale" and "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" for those who are fans of the original Archie comics.

14. "Queer Eye"

There is no show that gives off "feel good" vibes more than "Queer Eye." If you merely mention the show to someone, it puts a smile on their face! The Fab 5 of the show is so easy to fall in love with and you will want to keep watching their journey even after the show ends.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
