In everyone, there is a hidden desire to get away and see the world. Whether you like to admit it or not, it is there, waiting for you to go and travel to the ends of the earth. For some people it is quite easy to travel to their heart's content, while for others it is not as easy. A great way to get in that travel time is to do it while studying abroad in college. While you are in college, it is the prime time to go and live your life, so why not do that in Europe or Asia, or anywhere else, really? Studying abroad is a great option, and here are some reasons why.

The first reason to study abroad is the experience. Odds are, most people will not even leave the country that they live in, which is sad because there is so much culture out there. If you don't go in college, then you may not go at all, so why not take the opportunity and try new things? There are 195 countries out there, not counting your own, that you have yet to see, so why not pick a few and explore what they have to offer. It might be a little scary at first if you go alone, but it will all be worth it in the end. Think of all the fun and adventure that you can have if you just let go and have a good time. There is so much culture out there just waiting for people to come and experience it, so get up and try it!

Another big reason to study abroad is the connections you can make. No matter where you go, you will always meet people, and that is a great way to make some connections along the way. If you happen to meet someone who can help you in the future and you befriend them, well, then that is just good luck. The people you meet could become your friends for life, and that is something to hold on to. I know that we all have friends at home already, but it wouldn't hurt to put yourself out there and make a few new ones, you never know where that will lead you. The people you meet will change your life, and that is something that could either be good or bad, but either way it will be an experience that's too great to pass up.

The last major reason to study abroad is the place you will study at. Where ever you decide to go and study, just remember that you can have fun. I know that the main focus of the trip is to study and learn something from that university, but there is no harm in going out and having a good time. There are so many countries and universities that have so much to offer, and any one of them would be totally worth going to. Just going for school would be cool, but imagine all the awesome adventures you could have when you're done with class. All of those adventures and good times are just waiting for you to be ambitious and do something different. There are so many hidden treasures and unseen beauties in these places that are so worth checking out. Go swimming, see a movie, go hiking; just go and do something different while you can.

Those are only some of the reasons why you should study abroad in college; there are plenty more reasons. The main reason you should go is definitely for studying, and that is really the important one, but there are so many other opportunities in those countries for you to experience. I may not speak from experience yet, but this summer I will be seeing it all first-hand in Italy when I study abroad there for a month, so take it from me, you really should look it up. It will all be worth it in the end, even if that is all you do. When it comes travel, at least you can say that you did travel, which is more than most people can say. Go out and travel, see the world, don't be afraid, and be adventurous!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
