The Recent Viral Reincarnation of Shia LaBeouf

Shia's Surprise

From young Disney "Holes" actor to recent "motivational" speaker, Shia LaBeouf has recently made his way back into the public eye -- though the bashful charm from early "Even Stevens" episodes is no where to be seen.

Recently, Shia has been making his way onto the YouTube popular page through a few different videos. A Shia music video for the song "Elastic Heart" was the first re-encounter the public had with LaBeouf. In this, he wrestled with recent music video sensation, Maddie Ziegler, in a birdcage looking environment, while wearing nude bodysuits. The general reaction to this video was surprise. Where has LaBeouf been since the Transformers returned to Cybertron? Did Bumblebee mind that LaBeouf was copying his dance moves?

With these unanswered questions, the second place LaBeouf reappeared was also musically inspired. Lyrically portrayed as a murderous cannibal by Rob Cantor, this video delves deep into LaBeouf’s musical appreciation. With two choruses, one of children and one of adults, lyrical dance sequences, and rhythmic gymnastics taking over the stage, LaBeouf applauds wildly as the only audience member for a production dedicated to himself. A little more enthusiastically than would be expected for a video that portrays you as a cannibal. But to each their own!

Within the last week, LaBeouf has made yet another YouTube appearance that’s currently being shared on countless social media platforms. In front of a green screen, LaBeouf delivers a half hour of short scenes discussing material from Katana swords to poetic readings. Masquerading in a motivational monologue, this video is best known for LaBeouf shouting encouraging phrases at his audience while striking odd body builder poses. This mix of emotions and content highlights LaBeouf's eccentricity and apparent fondness for the Nike brand.

Putting the obvious questions of the missing Beans, LaBeouf’s recent substandard attachment to a ponytail hairstyle, and whether or not Megan Fox is disappointed in her co-star behind us, I’ve come to appreciate this newly cultured rebirth of LaBeouf. No longer are people talking about LaBeouf’s stint in jail, or the time he wore a bag on his head, but rather are discussing his unconventional rise in YouTube fame. His eccentric appearances are becoming memes and inside jokes worldwide, skyrocketing LaBeouf back into stardom -- whether he wants to be or not.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
