Adele. Is. Back.
The wait since 2012 when she released “Skyfall” is over. She is back and better than ever.
Previous to releasing the single, she first released a letter as an apology to her fans for the three-year delay. Her excuse ending with, “…but you know, life happened.” Regardless of the long time passing from her last album, her fans have been extremely forgiving, which explains her newest single, “Hello,” being at the No. 1 single in 85 countries.
Congrats, Adele, you’ve done it again. Now we have to wait another month to hear the rest of the album… However, I will say the title of each song is intriguing. She labels this album a make-up album, stating that all of her other albums have been break-up albums.
Not only is her voice absolutely stunning in the new single, but wait for it… THE VIDEO. She killed it. Absolutely flawless. Not only does she look beautiful, but Tristan Wilds plays her (ex)boyfriend. Hello… 90210 fans, are you screaming yet? Dixon is back, too. Regardless if you’re a 90210 fan or not, you can most definitely appreciate the emotional war the video causes.
Starting out as a a fun, cute couple where clips of their playful relationship are shown, the viewer is intrigued by the good-looking couple who looks like they have a lot of fun. Unfortunately, if you’ve listened to the song at all, you know it won’t stay that way. Soon after the start of the video, the couple begins to argue and it soon gets… sad. I felt my heart break a little honestly. Just watch...
Toward the end of the video, I most definitely had chills and wanted to personally congratulate Adele for her beautiful work that has captured the hearts of people around the world. How can one single person be so talented and wonderful? Now we will have no choice, but to wait the long and hard three weeks to hear the other songs that must be able to follow in the footsteps of the very high expectations that, “Hello” set for the world.
To Adele, congratulations on being awesome. To fans around the world, I feel your pain of waiting.
