Summertime is the perfect season for love to continue blossoming from the spring. This time, love will be shimmering underneath the warmth of the sun and perpetuity of the blue sky. At the same time, I see around me are couples on dates, shopping, smiling, kissing, embracing, and holding hands. I have often dreamed of meeting the one. However, there are still parts about love that I do not understand. Other than love from and toward one’s family, there is love from someone that one will meet and get to know more about. Love is completely different from admiration, crush, and infatuation.

In fact, love becomes deeper than those. I have always imagined the image of true love from fairy tales but now as I grow up, I am not so sure anymore. These days, I have focused more on making myself a better person. During this process, I have been told by many people that true love does not exist and causes people to do stupid things. Therefore, I still do not know how I am supposed to feel about true love.

I asked myself, my parents and friends: How can one decide to be devoted to one person for a long time? How does one know if the person is the one? What do you feel when you are with that person? Do you see yourself with someone in the future? Will love truly be reciprocated? Does love really blind someone? Is true love just merely an illusion?

The answers about true love that I am given are always vague to me.

One day, a tender voice hums as a heavenly instrumental follows. It has caught my attention. I have realized that it is my favorite country pop song from Shania Twain, “Forever and For Always”. I have remembered the first time I have heard it is when I was very young.

The lyrics focus on the things that she and her lover do when they are together that are overlooked but for what Twain is trying to express, these moments are intimate and very special for her. Each moment represents each growing sensation of true love as she harmonizes them with her paradisiac and indulgent tones. Then, she blends them with the impossibility of not being with her lover, which indicates their love is truly reciprocated and genuine.

Furthermore, Twain prolongs each word that ends with "–ay" to show the utmost joy and happiness that results from their love, to never end just like the title of her song. In addition, my heart flutters when I watch the music video of her song, which shows a couple who carries on their everlasting love for each other throughout their lifespan.

Heartfelt and touched by her song and its music video, I finally have declared to myself, whether it is silly or not, that the person who can actually make me feel those emotions that Twain evokes in her song, “Forever and For Always” will be the one for me. Due to the reason that true love is strong, I can see why people are not afraid to make such big commitments. From then on, my belief in true love grows stronger than before.

This song, overall, teaches me to never give up on true love, be true to yourself and feelings, and enables me to never stop dreaming about true love, even from fairy tales. True Love exists and it will come to you when you are ready.

Please don’t miss out on this lovely song from Shania Twain because it resonates the perfect mood for the summer and the perfect image of true love.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
