7 Things To Bless Up For This Year

Thanksgiving is upon us, ladies and gentlemen, and it's time to remember what we are thankful for. Here are the seven things that I am thankful for this year and every year.

1. Netflix

I am thankful that Netflix allows me to watch all of my favorite shows without the interruption of commercials.

2. Food

I am thankful for all of the delicious food that my stomach has the pleasure of enjoying. I'm thankful for beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes, YOU NAME IT!

3. Coffee

I am super thankful for coffee because I don’t know how I would make it through my long days without it. I’m thankful for my Starbucks Baristas who always have my order ready when I come in.

4. For any of the other sexiest men alive except Blake Shelton

For those who don't know Blake Shelton was named People's sexiest man alive. This year I am thankful for all of the other men who were the denied the title of sexiest man.

5. Naps

I don’t get to take them as often as I’d like, but when I do, I really enjoy them. I am super thankful for naps for allowing me the rest that I need to keep pushing through the day.

6. Wine

Wine Wednesdays are a great way to unwind in the middle of the week. It's a reminder that we have made it this far, and we don't have too much longer to go until the weekend.

7. Family and Friends

Of course, I'm also thankful for my friends and family who make my life complete. Without you guys, I don't know where I'd be.

Thanksgiving is not about giving thanks on one particular day, but it's a reminder that we should be thankful every day.

Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
