It's no doubt that fashion has always been important and now with social media, fashion inspiration is way more accessible. This makes it much easier for people to know what's in style and more clothing companies are available to explore. This is a list I have compiled from searching through dozens of Pinterest fashion boards. Of course, everyone's style isn't the same, so I chose these pieces, specifically, because they're flexible enough to be incorporated into everyone's wardrobe.

1. Denim Jacket

A denim jacket is the ultimate essential, especially because you can wear it during every

season. What's special about the jacket is that you can wear it on top of any outfit, but it

still highlights the outfit, instead of it being hidden away.

2. Windbreaker

Windbreakers are hidden gems from the 70s. It's a thin fabric coat which is usually worn

to resist wind chill or light rain. When windbreakers started to come back into style, a

myriad of major companies began to re-envision the jacket to more than just athletic outerwear. Companies like FOREVER21, H&M, PacSun, Urban Outfitters are just some examples of retailers of this nostalgic apparel.

3. Turtleneck

Anyone can rock a turtleneck—from your mom to the Rock. They are flexible because

you can wear them on their own, but also transition summer and spring pieces to fall and

winter with layering.

4. Mom Jeans

This generation's 90's fever and thrift store obsession has revived baggy jeans with a '

modern twist. Because most mom jeans are high waisted, they offer an element of flattery

and lets you feel like you're wearing sweatpants. They are not just comfortable, but they

also can make your outfit more effortless. You can easily tuck a loose t-shirt or sweater

into them, or wear a crop-top.

5. White Sneakers

Almost every girl has owned or owns a pair of Adidas Superstars. In recent years, they

have become a trend among most teens. These shoes will almost always tie your outfit together.

6. Plaid Trousers

Plaid trousers can be worn in a multitude of ways. What's so special about them is that

they can be both casual and professional. They're the perfect accent for your everyday

outfit.

7. Statement Belt

Belts have become the new favorite accessory for many fashion designers and influencers. There are so many different types of styles now ranging from monochrome braided belts to leather belts. They aren't just used practically, but also fashionable.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
