The first semester of college is always a transition period. Transitioning from high school to college can be very difficult for some people to handle. This transition includes everything from an inconsistent sleep schedule to wondering how to get your life together. The characters of "Grey's Anatomy" relate all too much to this transition from high school to college.
This is the face many college students want to make when they realize that they have to solve problems on their own without their parents after their parents leave on move-in day. Being in a new place and starting something new without parents is a scary thought, but then having to solve problems on their own is sometimes even scarier, because sometimes solving those problems is hard.
When a college student meets their roommate for the first they hope that their roommate can become their person, even if it's not a roommate, most college student find their person in the first semester of college. Meredith and Christina became each others' person back in season one and they never looked back.
The first time a college student fails an exam, this is the reaction that they have. College students just like to sit and cry and eat food sometimes to feel better. Food is wonderful and so is crying, sometimes. It happens more than you think. That is part of this transition. High school for a lot of people is not that difficult and then college is a challenge. Callie relates to this more than enough times, especially when she goes through her divorces. Poor Callie!
The happiness that is felt when finals week over is the same that is felt when a character has made it 12 seasons into "Grey's Anatomy" and has not been killed off... yet. Finals week is stressful and so is wondering if a character is going to make to next season or not. This is so relatable!
The feeling that college students get when studying for finals. That is definitely not a fun feeling. That week is the most stressful week a college student experiences and it does not get any easier. It relates all too much to Meredith anytime she goes through something hard.
