End Of The Semester According To Leslie Knope

Nothing is more stressful than the end of the semester. Your professors seem to think you are only taking three credit hours instead of the 18 you are enrolled in and decide to pile on the work. You're trying to manage the four papers you have to write, all while your phone is being blasted by those group project members that decided to wait until the night before the presentation was due to meet. You're wondering if it is worth it to leave the library for one more cup up coffee, or consider staying because you know that if you leave you may never come back. To help remind you that you are not alone in this struggle, here are the stages of going through finals as told by Leslie Knope.

1. The end of the semester is near and you're hyping yourself up for the challenge.

You have made a study playlist, and you have convinced yourself that you will ace everything.

2. The papers are flowing, and you wonder why anyone else is even stressing about finals.

This is a piece of cake, I am a genius and my professors will be astonished at the amazing work and obviously give me and A.

3. Nothing is going to stop you now.

You have it all planned out—you will be done with everything before you know it and will be off to celebrate summer.

4. You're so excited you actually go to office hours to show your professor your work. And you find out it's all wrong.

You basically wrote the opposite of what you needed to write, and now your confidence is going down the drain as you leave the office ashamed.

5. Your plan is ruined, the one thing you had finished is in the trash, and you realize you have still have a pile of other projects you haven't even looked at.

You're reworking the plan in your head as you contemplate where you went wrong.

6. Sitting in the library for the seventh hour straight, you begin to wonder what is even real.

Clearly you must be dreaming this; you can't actually have this much work that needs to be done in one day.

7. You go to your class review session, and nothing seems to make sense.

That study guide that your cousin gave you had none of this on it.

8. People are asking you how you are going to get everything finished, and you're not having it.

Yes, I realize I have three papers due at 8 a.m. tomorrow, and no, I cannot tell you how I will get them all finished.

9. Your roommate thinks now is a good time to tell you you should have spent less time binge-watching netflix.

You needed to finish the last season of "Parks and Rec." That is not even a question.

10. Somehow, you need to learn everything about chemistry in one night, and you lose your mind.

You begin to wonder why you did not pick an easier major.

11. You wonder if you're even still functioning properly enough to take your test in the morning.

Just one more cup of coffee should do it.

12. When you finish a final, you walk out of the room proud to never have to see that professor again.

You taught me a lot, but your class gave me nightmares. Goodbye.

13. You realize you can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel and get a little excited.

You only have one more final, and it's your easy A art class you have a 99.9 in just from showing up.

14. In the end, you pass all your finals and reward yourself for another semester well done.

Treat yo'self!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
